Recognition: Special Donor Recognition

Bob Annon
Bob is our top pheresis and whole blood galloneer with over 62 gallons (combined whole blood and pheresis platelets). Bob started donating in 1954. Bob is an avid collector and just a really nice guy!

Ron Crelling
Ron Crelling donated his 60th gallon of whole blood and pheresis platelets recently. Ron started donating blood in 1954 when he was in the military. Ron volunteered as the ‘maintenance engineer’ here at the blood center for over five years. He also restores classic cars when he’s not donating.

Bruce Deck
Bruce Deck just turned 80 years old and started donating blood over 60 years ago. He has over 20 gallons of whole blood to his credit.
He started donating when he learned that a patient in a hospital needed a transfusion right away. He went directly to the hospital and had blood transfused directly from his arm into the patient's arm.

Ellamae Earle
Ellaemae began donating in 1956. She, too, has donated over 20 gallons of whole blood. She was taught, “If you can help somebody in any way, you do it.” Ellamae also volunteers at the Red Cross Disaster Relief Agency in Pierce County and has for over 22 years.

Joel Stumph
Joel Stumph has donated over 40 gallons of whole blood since 1954. Joel is Cascade Regional Blood Services’ top whole blood galloneer. Cascade Regional Blood Services is so pleased with Mr. Stumph’s exemplary dedication and community service, that we have an annual employee of the year award named in his honor.
