A big shout out to Wilson High School for its outstanding January blood drive! Wilson’s drive was held just two days after school resumed following the January snowstorm. The snowstorm also forced CRBS to cancel a number of mobile blood drives and caused a significant drop in donations.  Wilson’s drive provided a huge boost to help replenish the community blood supply.
The Rams broke their previous record (134 donors, May 1998) by registering 139 donors—WOOHOO!! Big thanks to Wilson’s administration and staff for supporting CRBS and our community as a blood drive sponsor. Special thanks to Rindi Hartman, FCCLA advisor, and to all the FCCLA volunteers that helped recruit donors and assist with the blood drive—YOU ROCK!
Blood donations from Wilson and all the Tacoma School District High Schools directly support patients at Allenmore, St. Joseph, Tacoma General and our other hospitals and clinics within the MultiCare and Franciscan Health Systems.

2010–11 School Year

Wilson High School and their blood drive sponsor group FCCLA had an outstanding blood drive on November 30! The school’s theme this year is “Helping to Make a Difference.” With that in mind, Wilson exceeded their goal by registering 131 donors - fantastic results! Thank you to Teacher/Coordinator Rindi Hartman and Wilson’s FCCLA group, Principal Dan Besett and Dolores Apostle (Wilson’s school nurse) for their fantastic support, and the other WHS staff for making it all possible. AND……A BIG THANKS to all the RAMS who took the time to donate and Make a Difference!
