Recognition: School Drive Partners

Todd Beamer High School, Oct. 10–11, 2011

It was a “Spooktacular” Blood Drive at Todd Beamer High School, October 10–11! A whopping 281 total Titans, 168 of whom were first-time donors, registered to donate during the two-day drive! CRBS would like to thank our awesome student leaders: Jazmine Rhodes, Chandler Frostad, Kiele Bowman and Nicole Bowman. The student volunteers went all out decorating the blood drive area – complete with colorful fangs and Halloween candy.

Special thanks to Jennifer Allen, family and consumer sciences education teacher for coordinating the blood drive. And to Principal Randy Kaczor for taking time out of his busy schedule to donate blood, and for his ongoing support of CRBS. Thank you to the administration, staff, parents and the many generous blood donors at TBHS. Blood drives at Todd Beamer High School directly support St. Francis Hospital and our other community hospitals.

The Washington Post recently recognized Todd Beamer as one of the top high schools in America. A little more than 2,000 schools are recognized across the nation, and about 40 of those are in our state. TBHS made the list for the first time—way to go Titans and congratulations!

RECORD BREAKING Blood Drive!

BIG THANKS to all TODD BEAMER HIGH SCHOOL blood donors, administration, staff and our blood drive sponsoring group, Leadership.  During their two-day drive, the TITANS registered an astounding 321 donors! This is a new campus record for TBHS, blowing their previous record (248 donors in May 2007) out of the water!  The Titans also set an all-time record high for CRBS school blood drives – WAY TO GO BEAMER!!

Special thanks to Jennifer Allen, Leadership Teacher and first-time blood drive coordinator.  Also, special thanks to Principal, Randy Kaczor.  Despite his busy schedule, Mr. Kaczor takes the time to donate. His generosity and effort to support CRBS and our community has made a great impression on the students and CRBS staff.

Congratulations to Tyler Rogers!  Tyler reached his one gallon milestone at this Beamer Blood Drive.  It takes eight donations to equal one gallon.  This is an exceptional and impressive display of commitment for someone still in high school.

Blood drives at Todd Beamer High School directly support St. Francis Hospital, Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and our other community hospitals.  BLOOD DONORS SAVE LIVES!
