Recognition: School Drive Partners

BIG THANKS to all TAHOMA SENIOR HIGH blood donors, administrators, staff and our blood drive sponsoring group, LEADERSHIP! This drive was originally scheduled for January but had to be cancelled because of the snow and ice storm. We appreciate the school’s willingness to reschedule. Special thanks to Dave Peters, Leadership advisor; Tom Duty, principal; Sandy Markus, school nurse; and all of the Leadership volunteers. CRBS blood drives at Tahoma directly support the MultiCare and Franciscan Health Systems hospitals in our communities, including the MultiCare Covington Medical Center and NEW MultiCare Covington Emergency Department. Way to go BEARS!!

Congratulations to Sarah Pence from Tahoma High School for completing her Senior Project by helping to save lives in our community. Sarah chose to help her community by hosting a blood drive at her school on January 19, 2011.

Earlier in the year, Sarah toured the CRBS facility in Tacoma to learn more about our mission, services and programs we offer to help serve patients at our community hospitals. This was the first time CRBS has partnered with THS to conduct a blood drive at their school. Thanks to Sarah, Dave Peters (Sara's Leadership Advisor) and all the staff and donors at THS, their blood drive was a great success!

Thank you to all the BEARS for a great day!
