 Tacoma Community College had a very successful two-day blood drive! The two-day drive broke the previous campus record (117 donors, Oct 2009) by registering 133 donors; 53 were first time donors! Thank you to Elaine (Yin Ling Kwok), our student volunteer coordinator. Elaine combined the blood drive with the campus Breast Cancer Awareness Parade. She also coordinated with two instructors (Susan Schenk and Pat Von Knorring) to give extra credit to blood donors. Elaine is an amazing international student from Hong Kong, majoring in Business.
We appreciate TCC’s STUDENT LIFE OFFICE for continuing to sponsor the campus blood drive program. Special thanks to our blood drive coordinator, Reuth Kao and all the generous blood donors at Tacoma Community College!
Tacoma Community College’s (TCC) Student Life Office sponsors three outstanding drives each school year. Due to the large number of donors, they hold two-day blood drives in order to make it more convenient for students and staff who donate. Thank you to Jennifer Manley, our blood drive coordinator, TCC’s Student Life staff, and everyone at TCC who help make these drives so successful.
