Rogers High School’s (RHS) Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) sponsors three huge blood drives each school year. In February 2009, RHS was recognized by CRBS as High School Blood Drive of the Year for 2008. This award was given due to the high level of commitment that the administration, staff and students have had to the blood drive program over the years. They have also set records for the largest high school drive and are always at the top of the list when it comes to the number of donors who turn out for their drives. Thank you to Kathryn Russell, our blood drive coordinator, RHS’s HOSA students, the administration, staff and the hundreds of generous blood donors who provide such great support for CRBS, Good Samaritan and our other community hospitals.
Registered donors: 351

Rogers High School Blood Drive
Congratulations and BIG THANKS to ROGERS HIGH SCHOOL HOSA CLUB (Health Occupation Students of America) for an outstanding MAYFEST Blood Drive! The RAMS registered a whopping 174 donors in less than six hours!!
Coordinating a one-day school blood drive of this size takes significant effort, leadership and attention to detail – ROGERS’ HOSA IS ALL THAT AND MORE!! Leading by example, many of the blood drive volunteers also took time out to donate blood. Special thanks to Rogers’ HOSA Advisor, Kathryn Russell and to all the HOSA Officers and members that volunteered for the drive. Everything went extremely well thanks to your organization, enthusiasm and teamwork – YOU ROCK!!
THANK YOU to Rogers’ administration and staff and to all the RAMS who took the time to donate! Blood drives at Rogers directly support MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital and our other community hospitals. BLOOD DONORS SAVE LIVES!
BIG THANKS to all ROGERS HIGH SCHOOL blood donors, administration, staff and their blood drive sponsoring group, HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America). The RAMS registered 177 donors; 101 were first time donors for CRBS and our community. Ms. Russell and the HOSA volunteers have mastered their blood drive game plan! They did an outstanding job of recruiting, organizing and communicating with donors – all very important especially with the large number of new donors they signed up. Special thanks to Kathryn Russell, Medical Science Teacher and HOSA Advisor; Aubrey Bowlin & Nicole Mattson, student blood drive coordinators, and all the outstanding HOSA volunteers that enthusiastically managed the drive seamlessly. WAY TO GO RAMS!!
