Recognition: School Drive Partners

Puyallup High School – November 5, 2009

On Thursday, November 5, Puyallup High School (PHS) held their fall blood drive and it was a huge success. During this drive, 125 students were registered, exceeding the planned goal by 15 donors! The drive was coordinated by Pam Reichel, a teacher at Puyallup High School, and it was sponsored by the Sports Medicine class.

It was the first time the Sports Medicine class had sponsored a blood drive at PHS. Pam and her students did a fantastic job of signing up students prior to the blood drive. They also were a great help on the day of the drive. They assisted in the refreshment center, gave out t-shirts, and signed students in and out of class. Cascade Regional Blood Services (CRBS) would like to thanks Pam Reichel the Sports Medicine class for all their hard work and dedication to the blood drive program at Puyallup High School.

PHS, home of the Vikings, sponsors three blood drives per year. These drives help CRBS maintain an adequate blood supply to Good Samaritan Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, and the rest of our community hospitals. The next blood drive is currently scheduled Thursday, February 4.
