Recognition: School Drive Partners

Lincoln High School, Oct. 18, 2011

October was a FANG-TASTIC month for CRBS high school blood drives! The KEY CLUB at LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL dressed up in vampire capes for their Oct. 18 blood drive. The ABES registered 71 donors; 61 were first time donor for CRBS and our community!

Special thanks to Brian Young, Key Club advisor and Trang Tran, Key Club president and blood drive coordinator; also to Brian’s wife, Jalene Young, and Ray Mathias, maintenance, for helping throughout the day. A BIG THANKS also for Lincoln’s administration, staff and all the ABES who took the time to donate and help save lives in our community.

Lincoln High School - April 7, 2011

On April 7, 2011, the blood drive at LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL registered 96 donors!  Their largest drive since 2006 – WAY TO GO ABES!

AVID Student, Emily Nelson, stepped up and offered to coordinate this extremely successful blood drive at Lincoln. With support from Lincoln’s Key Club and Advisor, Brian Young, Emily was able to contribute to our community in a huge way.  Special thanks to Emily, Brian and Key Club Volunteers. We also want to especially thank Pat Stevens, school nurse and Ray Mathias, head of maintenance. The extra efforts from Pat and Ray helped ensure a smooth day.

A BIG THANK YOU to Lincoln’s administration, staff and to all the ABES who took the time to donate! It’s great to have you back. Because of enthusiastic blood drive sponsors like Emily, Brian and Lincoln’s Key Club, CRBS is able to provide the life saving blood products that support patients at Mary Bridge, Tacoma General, St. Joseph and our other community hospitals.  BLOOD DONORS SAVE LIVES
