Highline Community College (HCC) provides excellent support for CRBS at their campus, and CRBS participates in several HCC activities during the year. Thank you to our blood drive sponsor groups: Nursing Department, Medical Assistant & Phlebotomy Department and Healthcare Exploration for Youth. Thanks also to HCC’s administration, staff and generous blood donors.
Highline Community College held another extremely successful blood drive on January 25, 2012. There were 53 committed people who came out to donate for this drive. Way to go Thunderbirds! Thank you to the nursing students for sponsoring the blood drive and helping to recruit donors.
CRBS would like to thank Terri Trillo, who coordinated the blood drive; HCC’s administration and staff for their support and all the donors who came out to donate. This drive came at a crucial time, as inclement weather caused several blood drives to be cancelled the week prior. HCC’s donations helped us maintain an adequate blood supply to St. Francis Hospital, as well as other community hospitals and clinics served by CRBS.
