Evergreen Lutheran High School - September 12, 2008

On September 12, Evergreen Lutheran High School sponsored the first high school blood drive of the new year for Cascade Regional Blood Services (CRBS). We would like to thank the student council for sponsoring the drive and for always being willing to do one so early in the year to help our community at a time when inventories are traditionally at a low point. The students were very excited about the drive and their hard work is very much appreciated by CRBS.

Their next blood drive is scheduled for another time that is very important for us. The drive will be on November 25. This will help CRBS maintain an adequate blood supply to our community hospitals during the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The theme of this drive will be “Give Thanks, Give Blood, Give life!”

Cascade Regional Blood Services would like to thank Evergreen Lutheran High School for their continued support. We are looking forward to seeing you during Thanksgiving week for your next blood drive.

Evergreen Lutheran High School – September 12, 2007

As usual, Evergreen stepped up and sponsored a blood drive at a critical time of the year. Last year, they sponsored a drive just before the long Thanksgiving weekend that was a huge success. This year, they were our first high school drive of the school year. Schools in the communities we serve provide about 25% of our supply. So during the summer months, we really miss not having our school drives to help us meet the needs of our area hospitals. It’s great to have our schools back after the summer.

Daniel Kurbis helped organize the students under the direction of Jeff Kurbis. They came very close to our drive goal of 30 by registering 29 people to donate during this drive. Evergreen always manages to provide a large percentage of their students and staff who are eligible to donate.

We are looking forward to our next drive with them. They are again sponsoring a drive the day prior to Thanksgiving on November 21st. A big thank you goes out to Evergreen Lutheran High School for supporting CRBS and patients in our area hospitals.
