Covenant High School held their “second ever” blood drive on Thursday, April 16. The blood drive was a resounding success. There were 31 students registered, and 22 of them were first-time donors!
Cascade Regional Blood Services (CRBS) would like to thank the students and staff of Covenant High School for their support. Eva Battle, the blood drive coordinator, did an exceptional job of preparing the students for the blood drive. Without her wonderful support, blood drives at Covenant High School would not be possible.
The students of Covenant High School have had a very successful school year. An amazing number of seniors, 35%, have been chosen as Washington State Awardees. This honor is bestowed by the Superintendent of Public Instruction to the seniors in the state who rank in the top 10% based on GPA and college entrance exams. Congratulations to the students who have received this great honor!
The blood drives at Covenant High School help CRBS maintain an adequate blood supply to Tacoma General Hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center and the rest of our community hospitals. We are looking forward to continuing our blood drive partnership with Covenant High School in the future.
