On Friday, February 13, Bethel High School held their winter blood drive. There were 107 donors registered, and 62 were first-time donors. Sponsoring this drive was the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). They did a fantastic job of working in the canteen, passing out t-shirts, and signing students in and out of class. Their efforts paid off in a big way.
Cascade Regional Blood Services (CRBS) would like to give a special thank you to Alysia Richardson, President of FBLA. Her leadership skills enabled the registration and canteen stations to move very efficiently; which greatly contributed to the overall success of the drive. CRBS would also like to thank Lynda A. Schlosser, business teacher and FBLA advisor. Her guidance of FBLA makes each blood drive at Bethel High School a major success. Blood drives at Bethel High School help CRBS maintain an adequate blood supply to our community hospitals.
The students of Bethel High School have had a very successful school year. The debate team recently won a bid for the state individual event competition that will take place in March. Furthermore, many of the band students qualified for the state solo and ensemble contest in Ellensburg on April 24 and 25. CRBS would like to congratulate and wish these students luck in their upcoming competitions.

She not only helped put the drive together, she also worked in the canteen the day of the drive. Sandy, with the help of Susan Dunaway and Lynda Schlosser (both teachers at Bethel), worked hard to pull together nearly 100 students who registered to donate.
