The Key Club at Auburn Mountainview High School hosted another successful blood drive on Wednesday, March 7. The Lions exceeded their goal by registering 121 donors—WOOHOO! A BIG SHOUT OUT to AMHS’s Key Club for all its efforts recruiting students and community members to support their annual campus blood drive. The Key Club volunteers were at school early for set up and stayed late to clean up. During the drive they managed donor flow and served refreshments. It’s fantastic to work with such responsible young people! Special thanks to Jennie Buetow, Key Club advisor, Terri Herren, principal, and Jan Scheinder, school nurse. Thanks also to Auburn Mountainview’s administration and staff and to all the LIONS who took the time to donate! WAY TO GO LIONS!!
- Registered donors: 121
- First-time donors: 91
Congratulations and a big thank you to Auburn Mountainview High School Key Club, staff, students and community members for an outstanding two-day blood drive with Cascade Regional Blood Services (CRBS) on February 15 & 16, 2011.
CRBS would like to thank the students of Key Club for all their hard work, as well as Jennie Buetow (Key Club Advisor) who provided great guidance and support to her students. Prior to the drive, they solicited sign-ups and promoted the event using posters and fliers. On the day of the blood drive, the group worked together to get students from their classes to their appointments, helped in the refreshment area, worked the sign-in and out table, passed out t-shirts and helped set up and clean up.
A special thank you to all the staff and Principal Terri Herren for their support of CRBS. We appreciate your contributions and look forward to continuing our great partnership with AMHS. Way to go Lions!
