Congratulations to REI Sumner Distribution Center, Cascade Regional Blood Services’ February 2012 Blood Drive of the Month! REI Sumner Distribution Center has conducted blood drives with CRBS for many years. Jim Rollins, a 27-year employee of REI, has successfully coordinated blood drives for CRBS for years, handling everything from promotion and recruitment to walking nervous donors from their desks to the bloodmobile.
“Jim is a strong advocate for Cascade Regional Blood Services,” said Megan Johnson, CRBS donor resources consultant. “REI Sumner Distribution Center has diligently supported its community and CRBS by hosting blood drives on a regular basis.”
CRBS supplies blood and blood components to MultiCare and Franciscan Health Systems in Pierce and South King Counties, including MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup. Without the dedicated support of community members like REI Sumner Distribution Center and volunteers like Jim Rollins, CRBS would not be able to supply the hospitals we serve with lifesaving blood and blood products.
Remann Hall
Cascade Regional Blood Services awarded its January Blood Drive of the Month to Remann Hall in Tacoma. Since April 2010, Remann Hall has loyally supported CRBS by hosting blood drives three to four times a year. We greatly appreciate the commitment to hosting blood drives and steadfast support for our community’s blood supply that Remann Hall’s staff offers.
“A special thank you to Joni Martin, our very enthusiastic blood drive coordinator, who signs up an average of 25 donors at every drive,” said Kathryn Mitchell, CRBS blood drive consultant. “We are so grateful and proud of our Remann Hall blood donors. Their commitment is greatly appreciated.”
Since 2010, 189 donors have registered at Remann Hall for CRBS blood drives. Donations received from community drives like Remann Hall’s provide lifesaving blood and blood products to the hospitals and clinics in Pierce and South King Counties. CRBS is deeply grateful to all of its committed donors and blood drive coordinators who make it possible for us to complete our mission. You are literally lifesavers. Thank you for your dedication.
