Jeff made 24 donations during 2006, which is the maximum number of platelet donations allowed. In addition to his 276 platelet donations (nearly 35 gallons), he has also donated 54 units of whole blood, or just fewer than seven gallons. Congratulations Jeff and thank you for your commitment.
Tony made the maximum number of donations this past year. He has donated a total of 192 units, or 24 gallons. Tony’s wife Eileen has also been a faithful donor and has donated 55 units, or nearly seven gallons. Congratulations to the Stratton family and especially to Tony for being the Whole Blood Donor of the year!
ECMO stands for Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation, a special part of our Baby Blood program. Lisa has been a regular donor for several years, and was one of our first ECMO donors for this program at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. She donated for the program six times in 2006. Thank you Lisa and congratulations on being our ECMO Baby Blood Donor of the Year.
The ADRC process is a new donation option here at CRBS that allows a donor to donate two units of red cells per visit. This enables a donor to provide twice the amount of support for our community with fewer visits to the donation center. Tom was one of our first ADRC donors and donated the maximum number of times in 2006. Tom has been a donor for over 10 years and has donated 72 units, or nine gallons. Thank you for being a great support to our community and congratulations!
TPU sponsors blood drives every 56 days and registered 307 donors during their drives in 2006. The coordinator, Vivian Leach is extremely dedicated. Her efforts help blood drives at TPU average over 50 donors per drive, while our average blood drive is about half that number! Congratulations to Vivian and TPU.
Our blood drive coordinators, Bob and Sandra Smith, have been encouraging their members to donate for over 10 years. Since 1997, the church has conducted 49 blood drives and registered 1380 blood donors! This is truly an exceptional record and is greatly appreciated. Thank you and congratulations.
Rogers High School has shown amazing enthusiasm and commitment for the past several years. Their Leadership Advisor, Becky Binger, provides the students with everything they need to be successful. They have come up with themes such as Blood Fest 2005, and one of their students even created a promotional video for CRBS. The school sponsored three drives during the last school year and registered 407 blood donors! Congratulations on the fantastic support the staff and students at Rogers High School provide for our community!
Frank Brown has been donating blood for over 20 years and recently reached the 21- gallon mark. He is truly a committed donor and he continues to encourage everyone he can to donate blood. We are presenting this special award in recognition of his many dedicated years as a donor and his continued commitment to our mission. Congratulations Frank!
