Donor Programs

Baby Blood Program
Baby blood donors provide whole blood and platelets for specific patients, frequently on very short notice. Over 170 pediatric heart surgeries and other special procedures are conducted annually at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and Health Center.

Blood Buddy Program

A Blood Buddy is a friend, neighbor, or relative who is willing to come with you to donate blood at any of our Donor Centers. CRBS relies heavily on the community to help us spread the word about our need for volunteer blood donors. We need, and greatly appreciate the support you provide. When you come in with another donor, to one of our donor centers, you both will receive a Blood Buddy thank you gift.

National Marrow Donor Program
CRBS works closely with the National Marrow Donor Program to assist donors who wish to be entered on the registry. Visit www.marrow.org for more information.

Stem Cell Program
Healthy stem cells are collected from patients through the apheresis process and stored in our cryobiology lab. They are then available for transfusion back to the patient, if needed.
