On November 7, The National FFA Organization (FFA) held its largest blood drive since November 2004 at White River High School! An amazing 104 students were registered at this blood drive. This was such a great accomplishment because the drive was limited to only four hours due to other school activities that day! Coordinating the blood drive was Todd Miller, Teacher and FFA Advisor. With the help of Todd Miller, the students of FFA showed tremendous leadership skills in putting together this great drive.
The students of FFA conducted sign-ups for the blood drive, assisted in the canteen, and helped pass out t-shirts. They also procured donuts for the donors and blood drive volunteers from the local Safeway. Congratulations to a fantastic group of students, with notable mention to Victoria, FFA Member, for her invaluable leadership on the day of the blood drive.
Cascade Regional Blood Services would like to thank the students and staff of White River High School, home of the Hornets, for all of their support. Their commitment to hosting regular blood drives helps CRBS maintain an adequate blood supply to all of our community hospitals.
On March 6, 2008, White River High School had a great blood drive. On this day, we registered 113 donors. The drive was sponsored by the Key Club. The club did an excellent job signing people up for the drive. They were also able to procure donations of donuts from the local Safeway. Cascade Regional Blood Services would like to give special thanks to Lynette Nylund, teacher and Key Club advisor.
The Key Club of White River High School holds a blood drive every year in March. There is a healthy competition between the Key Club and FFA, which holds a blood drive in the fall.
White River High School always has very successful drives. Cascade Regional Blood Services is grateful for their support. Their hard work and dedication help us maintain an adequate blood supply for our community hospitals.
White River High School had an extremely successful blood drive on November 9. This was their first drive of the new school year and was again sponsored by FFA (Future Farmers of America), who have stepped up and done a fantastic job over the years. Future Farmers of America, coordinator Todd Miller, teacher and FFA Advisor, were instrumental in exceeding the drive goal. We set the goal at 85, and 87 people registered! This drive contributed a significant number of units that will help support Good Samaritan and our other area hospitals.
Future Farmers of America sponsors a blood drive every year in November at White River High School. In addition to the students putting together an extremely successful blood drive, they were also able to procure donations, such as donuts, from the local Safeway. Needless to say, the donors were very grateful.
