Thomas Jefferson High School - May 29, 2008

The students and staff at Thomas Jefferson High School put together another great drive on May 29. This was the second year that TJ has held a drive with Cascade Regional Blood Services. This year 117 donors were registered, a significant increase over last year when 89 registered! The drive was sponsored by DECA, which is led by their staff advisor Connie Davolt.

The drive was also held in memory of former teacher Bill Dehnert, who passed away from cancer and was treated at St. Francis Hospital. CRBS has been the sole supplier of blood products and related support to St. Francis Hospital since they opened in 1987. The DECA committee made a special logo to promote the drive, “Donate for Dehnert.”

The drive was a huge success and Cascade Regional Blood Services is very grateful to the students and staff of Thomas Jefferson High School for their support. We are very much looking forward to the next drive at Thomas Jefferson.
