The drive at Graham-Kapowsin High School was amazing. On a goal of 110, we registered 198 donors! The students of DECA did a fantastic job of organizing the blood drive. They did a great job of running the sign-in table, canteen, and the t-shirt station. The drive was very well organized, a testament to the students of DECA.
This was Graham-Kapowsin’s first ever blood drive. Cascade Regional Blood Services would like to thank Susan Dunaway, Business Educator, for helping set up this drive. We would also like to thank Tanya Torres-Steen, DECA Advisor, for all of her hard work and dedication.
On the day of the drive, student Riley Weik, was not yet sixteen years old. However, on the day of his birthday, he and his father made a special trip to the Puyallup office to donate. We appreciate their special commitment and effort to go above and beyond in their support of CRBS and our community’s blood supply.
This drive helped us maintain an adequate blood supply for Good Samaritan and our other community hospitals. We are looking forward to partnering with Graham-Kapowsin High School in the future and helping them beat the all-time HS donation record!
